How we handle information when you visit our website or contact us about electrical projects, testing and maintenance.

Who we are

Warwickshire Electrical Ltd is responsible for the personal information covered by this policy. It applies to visitors to our website and people contacting us about electrical services.

For questions about your information or to exercise your rights, contact us:

Information you provide

Our enquiry forms collect your name, company, email address, telephone number, site town or postcode, service required and message. We also receive the information you choose to provide when you email or telephone us, including correspondence about your requirements and quotations.

We need enough information to understand your enquiry and a way to reply. You can contact us by telephone or email instead of using the form. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information about yourself or other people.

Why we use your information and our lawful bases

Personal enquiries and quotations — when you ask about services for yourself, we use the information needed to discuss your requirements and prepare a quotation to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. If you engage us personally, the same contractual basis applies to information necessary to provide the agreed service.

Business and organisation enquiries — when you contact us on behalf of a business, school or other organisation, we rely on legitimate interests to respond, discuss the work, prepare quotations and coordinate communications. Our interest is in running our electrical contracting business and dealing with the organisation’s enquiry.

Enquiry records — we rely on legitimate interests to keep relevant correspondence so we can follow up discussions, understand what was agreed and deal with questions or disputes. We use a legal-obligation basis where particular records must be kept or disclosed by law.

Submitting an enquiry is not blanket consent to marketing. This policy does not treat an enquiry as permission to add you to a marketing mailing list.

Service providers and recipients

The website is built and hosted in Framer. Our forms use Framer’s native form service, with email notifications addressed to info@warwickshireelectrical.com. Framer processes form information to provide that service. Our business email uses Microsoft 365 supplied through GoDaddy. GoDaddy and Microsoft provide the associated email services used to handle the messages we receive and send.

Within Warwickshire Electrical, access to enquiries is restricted to current employees. Where needed to fulfil your enquiry, we share relevant information with trusted working partners involved in responding to your requirements or delivering the requested work. We limit what we share to the information needed for that purpose. Information may also need to be disclosed where the law requires it, for example in response to a valid request from a competent authority.

How long information is needed

We keep enquiry correspondence and other emails in our business email account for a maximum of five years. Information may be deleted sooner when it is no longer needed, taking account of whether discussions remain active, whether a quotation is still relevant and whether correspondence is needed to resolve a question or dispute.

If work proceeds, some information may also form part of separate project and financial records. Those records are subject to their applicable legal retention requirements; the five-year limit above relates to email correspondence.

Processing outside the UK

Framer is based in the Netherlands. Its published security information describes hosting infrastructure that includes the United States and other regions, so use of Framer should not be understood as UK-only storage.

Framer’s published Data Processing Addendum sets out mechanisms for international transfers, including adequacy arrangements where applicable and contractual safeguards, with a UK Addendum for relevant restricted transfers. Contact us if you would like information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry.

Keeping information secure

Framer describes encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and backups for its service. These measures protect the hosted platform; they are not a guarantee that every transmission or system is completely secure.

Please only include information relevant to your enquiry, and do not send payment-card details, passwords or access codes through the enquiry form. If you think information sent to us has been exposed or misused, contact us using the details above.

Your information rights

Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis involved, you can ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, or restriction of its use. You may also have the right to receive information you provided in a portable format where automated processing is based on consent or a contract.

Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Rights are not absolute: for example, relevant records may still be needed to meet a legal obligation or deal with a legal claim.

Contact us by email or telephone to make a request. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity. Requests are normally free, and the usual response period is one month, subject to the extensions and exceptions allowed by law.

Your right to object

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. We must then stop that processing unless there are overriding compelling legitimate grounds or the information is needed for legal claims. You can object to use of your personal information for direct marketing at any time.

Questions and complaints

Please contact Warwickshire Electrical if you have a concern about how your information is handled, so we can consider it and respond.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator. You do not need our permission to do so. Information about making a complaint is available at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.

Website analytics, cookies and embedded services

Framer analytics records page visits, link clicks and form-submission events for this website. The reporting service supports information such as pages visited, referral sources, browser and device type, language and broad country location, together with a daily hashed visitor identifier used to estimate visitor numbers.

This helps us understand how the website is used. Where this involves personal information, the purpose is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our website, subject to any separate cookie or similar-technology requirements. Analytics event reporting is separate from the enquiry details you enter in a form.

The website’s slideshow, review display and photographs are delivered as page components rather than embedded social-media feeds or video players. You can manage cookies and site storage through your browser settings; these controls do not necessarily stop all server-side measurement.

Updates to this policy

We will publish changes on this page and update the review date. If we plan a materially different use of personal information, we will provide further information before that use and seek consent where it is required.
